Olafur Eliasson's Weather Project at Tate Modern

Finally I have found on the internet a picture of the most impressive art installation I have ever seen. It was in 2004 in Tate Modern. You felt that you were watching the real sun but from a planet much closer to it. Trully unforgettable impression.

Ski week in La Plagne, 10-17 March

The last week I have spent skiing in La Plagne with Dan, Costas, Gilbert and Ravi. We were extremely lucky with the weather. It snowed about 10 days before our arrival so we had plenty of white powder and when we arrived it was warm and sunny, and it stayed like that for the whole week. The runs in La Plagne-Les Arcs area are very nice, long and relatively wide, mostly blues and reads. They might to be too easy for very advanced skiers but with Costas using skies for the first time in his life, Dan doing his second snowboarding week and Gilbert more eager to sit in the sun next to a swimming pool than skiing, it was probably the best choice of the resort we could have made. Me and Ravi did some blues to warm up and then went on to reds and even dared a few blacks to improve our technique. 7 hours a day of skiing, 6 days – at the end I was quite tired but happy that I am skiing better than a year ago. There is something very relaxing about skiing: loads of physical activity, breathtaking mountain views, fresh air and good French food (however, not always the most polite service). Now back to the big city, luckily I brought some French sausages and Foie Gras which combined with a glass of Champagne makes the transition to British food less painful. I am looking forward to the next winter, but first summer holiday!

Selection of pictures below. Unfortunately due to problems which Dan and Ravi had with using a camera I do not have pictures of myself:-(

Paragliding. Gilbert and Dan have tried it, however Gilbert found it boring... On this picture Dan is on the glide further in the distance.

La Chiaupe (the cliff on the right) was very exiting, especially on the first day of skiing :-)

Dan's birthday cake and Champagne. From the left: Costas, Ravi, Dan and Gilbert. All with slightly burnt faces. You must believe that I was there too.
